Conflict & Challenge
You & Me UTA Campaign
Conflict & Challenge
Conflict & Challenge is a social campaign created for the University of Texas at Austin. The focus was to create collateral to support in designing a space where students can come together and be open and honest, even in the midst of difficult and controversial conversations.

This campaign is meant to question the polarization in our society. Sometimes things are not black and white, it's not always your opinions versus someone else’s. You should aim to try to understand and empathize through engaging in conversations.

Conflict & Challenge was developed as a response to the growing sense of division and polarization present within everyday conversations. Drawing from the visual language of lucha libre, this campaign uses the idea of the “match” as a metaphor for opposing perspectives. This is the place where conflict is not about defeat, but about engagement and exchange. Much like the masked identities within the sport, the campaign reflects how individuals often present only parts of themselves in conversation, raising questions about what is revealed and what remains hidden. Rather than framing disagreement as something purely combative, this project repositions it as an opportunity for dialogue. By merging expressive visuals with intentional messaging, the campaign encourages students to step into the “ring” with openness, using conflict as a pathway toward understanding, empathy, and more meaningful connection.
